Shop Overview

 

PABS is a full-service bicycle and skateboard shop with a beer bar and live music venue. We believe in the power of the bicycle and its ability to change lifestyles within our community. Our goal is to have a positive impact through our diverse shop, community events, and outstanding commitment to create lasting customer relationships. 

We are adding two positions to our dynamic team.

 

  • Customer Communications / Website Administrator (Full-time / Part-time)

  • Mechanic / Shop Associate (Full-time / Part-time) 

 

Position Responsibilities (Customer Communications / Website Administrator)

 

Primary responsibilities are listed, but not limited to:

 

• Provide exceptional customer service both in store and online.

• Oversee shop communications, including answering phones, responding to emails, and social media messages.

• Oversee company website and online stores.  

• Pursue growth in product knowledge.  

• Listen, learn, and absorb critical feedback.

• Provide feedback on ideas to improve the work environment.

• Create work estimates and special orders using our POS system.

• Communicate directly with customers regarding the products and services we offer.

• Balance online sales and website projects while assisting in-store customers.

• Ensure a clean and professional work environment.

• Help the service and sales team achieve performance goals.

• Follow all store policies and procedures.

• Assist others when help is needed.  

• Promote and support shop mission and values.

 

Our ideal applicant:

• Familiarity with creating eBay sales listings a plus.

• Be at least 18 years of age   

Position Responsibilities (Bicycle Mechanic / Service Associate)

 

Primary responsibilities are listed, but not limited to:

• Provide exceptionable customer service.

• Ensure a clean and professional work environment.

• Administer superior mechanical service.

• Listen, learn, and absorb critical feedback.

• Pursue growth in product knowledge and mechanical skills.

• Provide feedback on ideas to improve work environment.

• Complete repairs, inspections, and accessory installs within allotted time frame.

• Create work estimates and special orders using our POS system.

• Communicate directly with customers concerning necessary or suggested repairs.

• Balance repair work while assisting customers.

• Help the service and sales team achieve performance goals.

• Follow all store policies and procedures.

• Promote and support shop mission and values.

Working Conditions:

 

• Ability to stand, sit, and use hands for extended periods of time. 

• Ability to move a variety of bicycles/trikes up and down stairs using proper safety    techniques.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

• Exposure to various chemicals such as grease, solvents, and cleaning solutions. 

 

This position is a representation of what is required for an employee to succeed. As shop needs change, position expectations may change. It is expected that all employees complete any reasonable request that may not be listed in their job description. 

 

Compensation depends on applicants level of experience.

 

Hours: Part-time up to 24 hours per week / Full-time up to 40 hours per week.
