Point Area Bicycle Service Return Policy

General Merchandise:

Customers may return items within Thirty Days of purchase (bikes excluded) provided the item is in new resalable condition, accompanied by a receipt, and is in the original packaging.

New Bikes:

Bikes that were not special ordered and under $1500.00 may be exchanged or returned within 3-days of purchase, or in the case of the bicycle being a gift, 3-days from the special day.  Please inform your sales person at time of purchase the date in which the bicycle will be given to the recipient so we can note the date in our system as the start date of the 3-days.  A 20% restocking fee will be charged for all exchanged or returned bicycles.

Bikes and frames priced over $1500.00 are not eligible for return or exchange.

Used Merchandise (General & Bikes):

Used bikes or items are not eligible for return.  We will be happy to exchange the item(s) or offer a PABS gift card within 3-days of the original purchase provided the item(s) are in the same condition as originally sold. Additionally used bikes do not qualify for our six months of free mechanical adjustments. A 20% restocking fee will be charged for all exchanged items and bicycles.

We Are Unable To Offer Returns On The Following Items:

  • General merchandise, bikes, frames, etc that have been special ordered.

  • Shoes or clothing that have been worn

  • Auto racks that have been removed from the packaging

  • Baby seats that have been installed

  • Items without original packaging

  • Skateboard products

Layaway Deposits:

Refundable within 1-week of the deposit. After 1-week deposits are store credit Only.

Customer Responsibilities

Point Area Bicycle Service utilizes all our partners' warranty requirements, restrictions, and
disclaimers when it comes to replacing parts, components, accessories, bikes, or frames. If you
have questions regarding the warranty on your purchase, please fee free to ask our
knowledgeable staff, or check the manufactures online warranty policy and any restrictions.

 

New Bike Purchases:
PABS will cover all warranty replacement labor costs for 3 months from the initial purchase
date printed on your receipt, after 3 months the customer is responsible for 50% of the labor
costs. Customers with new bike purchases in excess of 6 months from the date of purchase are
liable for 100% of the labor charges involved in the warranty replacement. This excludes frame
and suspension-related warranty repairs; these are done on a case-by-case basis. Additional
parts required are the customers responsibility.

 

PABS Warranty FAQ Answers:
-Most manufacturers hold the option to replace the original product with a similar product of
equal value.
-Most manufactures hold the customer liable for any additional parts required to remedy the
warranty issue.
-Most manufactures DO NOT transfer the warranty past the original purchaser.
-Most manufactures warranties DO NOT cover labor.
-Most manufacturers will hold the customer liable for any freight charges involved for items
repaired by/at the manufacture under warranty.
-Most manufactures will not cover any expenses incurred by the customer for a loss of use,
regardless of the timeframe involved.
-Most manufactures will VOID any applicable warranties for improper use, or component
modification.
PABS Warranty Labor Costs:
PABS utilizes our standard labor pricing for all warranty repair labor costs.
