Hand-built Wheels:

Whether you need a reliable wheelset for touring, a bombproof set to hit the trails, or one that can just withstand the abuse of city streets, we can build you a solid set of wheels you can rely on for years to come.

Why hand-built wheels?

Unlike a wheel built by a machine, we are able to scrutinize over the small details that make a solid wheel. One of the biggest factors that create a stronger set of wheels is proper stress relieving of the spokes. Without this step, a wheel may come out of true after a few rides after the spokes settle in. A skilled wheel-builder is able to notice any irregularities that a machine fails to catch. Final adjustments in tension and truing are important to make a long-lasting wheel. If you choose to go with a hand-built set of wheels, not only do you benefit from a strong wheel, you have the option to choose the rim, hub, and spokes that fit you riding needs.

Suspension Service:

Need your suspension serviced or overhauled?  We do all our suspension service in house, meaning your fork or shock will be professionally serviced without costly shipping and time off the trail.

Lower Leg Service

Refresh oil, replace outer wiper seals and foam rings.

Dirt contamination is the biggest cause of damage to upper fork stanchions and inner bushings. Recommended service interval: 50 hours or annually for most riders (depends on riding conditions).

Rear Air Can Service

Clean air can internals, replace seals and wipers if necessary.

Lack of lubrication is the biggest issue with rear shocks. Poor lubrication results in sluggish, sticky, and inconsistent performance. This can lead to shock shaft surface damage if not maintained. Recommended service interval: 50 hours or annually for most riders (depends on riding conditions).

Fork and Rear Shock Damper and Air Spring Service

After prolonged use, the dampening oil (shock oil) begins to loose its viscosity. This can lead to poor dampening characteristics in your suspension. Rear shocks can also start to slowly leak nitrogen past the internal floating piston causing dampening characteristics to be lost and the rear air spring left to do the majority of the work. Recommended service interval: 100-200 hours or every few years for most riders (depends on riding conditions).
